The church has been against red heads, left-handers, the sick, mentally disabled, random ethnicities, women, and anything else that makes a closed minded white, middle-aged, man feel uncomfortable. Just like all those issues, sexual orientation and gender identity will prevail. People like this Jacki Pick will go down in history as being a closed minded opponent of humanity at its finest. When she goes and meets her maker, He will welcome her, just like all believers in Christ (Gay, Straight, Cisgender, or Transgender) because that is what he does. When people can finally read the Bible and understand that Jesus loves everyone as long as they love Him, regardless of how they were born, their hearts will soften and finally understand. Until then, it will be a constant battle for individual rights.
My religion says it is alright to own slaves and keep us women in their place, maybe Pocatello should add those exceptions into their laws as well.
Mayor Bad had lost all of my respect and I am excited to see Mayor Chase reelected.
It really was a Bad decision, Pocatello.
